Program Profile

Our program has been functioning since 2005 in order to get opportunities for our graduates in public institutions and organizations, service providers, contracting firms, industrial facilities, system design, projecting and sales enterprises, operating in the production of air conditioning and refrigeration system equipment. At this point, it emphasize the importance of refrigeration and air conditoning sector in energy consumption and environmental issues in order to ensure the necessary and required weather conditions in the places where people live, in industrial areas, in production processes. Our program has a capacity of 40 students and has been carried on in technical training since 2005 in the areas of refrigeration and air conditioning concepts and applications. As na Refrigeration and Air Coonditioning Technician, a Pre-Graduate Diploma is given to the graduates who have succesfully completed the Air Condition and Refrigeration Technologies Program.

Access to Other Higher Education Programs

Those who successfully complete the program can make a vertical transition to the "Mechanical Engineering and Energy Sustem Engineering" programs if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Examination opened by ÖSYM.

Employment profile of graduates

The students who want to study in refrigerating and air condition technologies program should be robust and resistant to bodily, researcher, careful, tidy and patient while working in workshops and in the labs, environment-conscious, able to communicate with others well and sharing, able to follow current developments, and to be graduated they must completed their 30 days internship succesfully. In our country refrigeration and air conditioning technologies are continuously evolving in terms of technical and energy management, giving our graduates the opportunity to work as intermediate staff. It is possible for our graduates to obtain job opportunities in industrial plants operating in the production of air conditioning and cooling system equipment, companies providing service, contracting companies, system designing, projecting and selling enterprises, public institutions and organizations. Our students can work individually in the sector as well as in institutions and organizations private or not.

Training Application Areas and Program Facilities

In the computer lab, 40 computer serve students in order to develop technical drawing skills and computer skills. We have over 20 test equipments for refrigeration and air conditioning experiments in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Laboratory and airconditioning and refrigeration workshops for other application courses.
